His stat spread is akin to armored units notably Hector of Ostia save for his class being infantry thanks to his weapon and color. His competitive Defense grants him the safety to pass through waves of heroes while only having to worry about facing dragonstone and tome bearers because of his pitiful Resistance stat.

He is bestowed with a unique Passive the Beorc’s Blessing which cannot be passed in Skill inheritance and nullifies bonuses gained by opposing flying and cavalry units.

Strategy

The Brave Mercenary has fantastic Defense that allows him to shrug off multiple physical damage. Whereas his reputable Attack stat enables him to take groups of enemies head on if tome units and dragons are out of reach.

With built in effect in his father’s weapon, it grants Brave Ike the ability to lower damage sustained from an enemy’s follow-up. This consequently allows Brave Ike to punish any unsuspecting foes with his Aether. His default weapon Urvan grants him additional sponge abilities against follow-up attacks for added sustainability.

Factoring Skill inheritance, Brave Ike can utilize Quick Riposte 3 as it allows him to have some offense while he defends when not in the player phase. For assists, he makes use of Reposition to pull frail allies away from harm. He can then endure the 1-range attacks with ease provided he has the color advantage or defense.

He appreciates units that form great synergy such as Azura who can either pass Sing or deal with the red units that pester Brave Ike thanks to her Sapphire Lance+. If Brave Ike is built to function as one of the primary offensive players, Clerics with buffs and heals can spread heals to extend his ORKO potential.

Blue tome units also handle the red magicians that usually run counter to Brave Ike such as Reinhardt who has high mobility and Delthea who is a hard-hitting glasscannon. In return, Brave Ike can handle the rest of the green units apart from green magicians to which the blue tomes have difficulty.

Counter

  • Units with high Speed and Magic can pierce his mediocre Resistance stat. Thus, it usually boils down to assigning hard-hitting Red tome units and Green tome units to go around his Defense.
  • Some Red sword units can attempt to whittle him down with Ruby Sword+. The problem lies in that his default weapon grants him some protection from follow-ups.
  • Lilina – A red tome unit that checks low Resistance green units such as Brave Ike given her Speed and Attack.
  • Leo – Apart from being a cavalry unit, he also shares the same classification as Lilina thanks to his Red tome. He can snipe Brave Ike from afar but struggles from having a lower Magic stat to deal with other units.
