Tips and Tricks for Feather Farming [Fire Emblem/ FE: Heroes]

Guide and description to how to use feathers and where to find them

Feather

Feather

A feather in Fire Emblem: Heroes is used to awaken heroes to their true potential. These are often farmed from the Arena and Story in order to increase the combat abilities of your unit. In some sense, you can also repeat the run in the story and the arena which allows you to exploit the drop rate of feathers in the game. Doing so means that you’ll be able to level up your characters faster. Also, this means that your characters will survive through harder stages until they need to be swapped out.

However, it’s not a 1:1 ratio for your characters. Some characters need more than one feather to level up their stats.

Where do you farm feathers?

  1. Story Map When doing the story, each victory or the end of each chapter may drop a feather for your character to use. Thus, feather farming might be easier if you replay through the story over and over.
  2. Arena – The stadium is a feature in the Fire Emblem: Heroes game that allows you to engage in PvP. It’s been hinted that victory over other players in PvP may drop some feathers. Every time you have a certain amount of medals, you get more feathers.
  3. Special Maps – When there are special events, the special events may drop limited edition prizes. But not just that. It may also drop feathers as consolation prizes that will definitely help in bolstering your character.
  4. Greeting Other Players – When you add another player into your friend’s list, you can send them greetings and thus get feathers when you do so.
  5. Check your palace – Sometimes your heroes will drop you feathers when you  click them.

Feathers in Awakening

Feathers are often combined with an Emblem to awaken a character. However, as previously mentioned, it’s not a 1:1 ratio on characters. The higher the rank of your character, the higher the requirement. While this does not raise the level of the character, it does add considerable power to your heroes’ stats. It also increases their ranks in order to make them stronger especially when you start merging them to increase their Skill Points (SP).
