How to Lean for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (CoD: MW3)
Mount your Weapon Near a Wall or Pillar
Lean can be done automatically by mounting your weapon next to a pillar or wall. If you are near a wall or pillar, mount your weapon and you can aim while leaning.
Weapon Mount Button can be Changed from Settings
By default, the weapon mount button is set to “Aim + Melee Button”. If you often use lean, change the weapon mounting setting to your preference.
Recommended Settings for Weapon Mount
Double Press Aim
It’s recommended to change the weapon mount setting to “Double Press Aim”. The default settings “Aim + Melee Button” required you to press two buttons to mount the weapon, so it can be hard to do if you are not used to it. Until you get used to it, try changing the setting to an easier button like “Double Press Aim”.

Lean is a method of shooting by tilting only the upper body to the left or right while hiding behind cover. Lean is a shooting method used in FPS that is effective not only for shooting but also for scouting enemies, but since it puts your character in an immobile state, you need to be careful when using it.
