How to Turn Off Voice Chat in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (CoD: MW3)

Steps to Turn Off Voice Chat
| 1 | From the game’s main menu, open the game sub-menu by pressing the Start or Options button (gamepad). On PC, open the sub-menu from the top right corner of the screen. |

| 2 | Use the trigger buttons (gamepad) to go to Settings (indicated by the gear icon). Use your mouse to click on it on PC. |
| 3 | Select Audio (below Graphics). |
| 4 | Highlight Voice Chat and set it to Off. |
| 5 | Exit the menu to save your new settings. |
Benefits of Turning Off Audio Voice Chat
Mutes players who frequently use inappropriate or abusive language.
Turning off voice chat is mainly used for muting other players who disrupt gameplay by frequently using inappropriate, abusive, or insulting language. For everyone’s enjoyment, you should avoid engaging with such players by just disabling the voice audio as much as possible.
Be warned that you will also not be able to communicate with your teammates via the game mic to coordinate your actions. Because of this, decide whether you want to have voice chat turned on or off when your playing with friends or random players.
Allows you to hear in-game sounds like footsteps, gunfire, and explosions much easily.
Reducing noise coming from other players also lets you hear enemy footsteps or firefights occurring near your location. This may help you play more competitively as there are less distractions during matches.
