In addition, there’s a dungeon included in the DLC wherein you can encounter monsters that you already have on your roster and another dungeon where you can encounter large monsters.

As mentioned before, there are monsters that are categorized as small but look big in appearance. Despite being categorized as small monsters, these monsters may produce large monsters when paired or synthesized with a true large monster.

Monsters of a smaller size are more agile, whereas those of a larger size can withstand more attacks. This is why you should consider the monster’s size before adding them to your main party and select those that fit or are compatible with your other monsters in your party.
