Shiny Monsters Guide for Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince (DQ Monsters: The Dark Prince)
What is a Shiny Monster?
Monsters that has high stats values that are rarely created through monster synthesis.
Shiny monsters are rare monsters with higher stats and can only be acquired through monster synthesis, and the probability of having a sparkling results is low that is why it is a rare occurrence to have this as a result. A player can try the synthesis by going to the Altar of Amalgamation and talking to the old man.

A special icon on the bottom left corner.
The monster icon will have a Purple Mark located at the corner and it is an indication of a rare monster.

The upper limit for one random stat is +100.
Shiny monsters have a huge difference on stats number it can be +100 for either the HP/MP/Attack Power/Defence/Agility/Wisdom than the normal monster synthesis results.
The sparkling trait will not be inherited.
If a player tries to use monster synthesis on a Shiny Monster, the results will be normal and the special stats will also not be inherited.
How to Reset Shiny Monster?
Steps on how to Reroll
| 1 | Go to Menu and select Others, then turn off the Autosave. |

| 2 | Head over to the man and save there. |
| 3 | Select a monster you want to make shiny. |
| 4 | Raise your level and take note your normal status. |
| 5 | Go to Main Menu and select Title. |
| 6 | Synthesis monsters you want to make a shiny variant. |
| 7 | Report process and reload from the save. |
| 8 | After multiple attempts of getting a shiny, raise it to the same level as ④. |
| 9 | Check on the normal status from before and compare to current stats. |
| 10 | Keep repeating steps 7 to 9 until you get your desired result stats. |
