Recommended Camera Obscura Upgrades

Prioritize increasing damage per shot and damage per second.

In general, you want to prioritize upgrading the Camera Obscura’s damage output by spending blue spirit stones on enhancing Power. You will be severely handicapped in later chapters against ghosts with high health if you do not enhance attack power early on. Afterwards, focus on upgrading damage-per-second by improving Charge and Sensitivity. While it is possible to consistently land combos using Fatal Frame Shots, you may find yourself missing chances to do them so getting both Charge and Sensitivity will be worth it to improve the rate at which you can deal max damage against enemies.

Spend other spirit stones on Spirit Absorption and Range.

Feel free to spend spirit stones on Spirit Absorption and Range once you have sufficiently upgraded the camera functions mentioned above. The value of improving Range, meanwhile, may vary from player to player.
