Phase 5: The Masked Pair Walkthrough
Room 207 Rangetsu Ayako → Room with Canopied Bed → Ayako Ghost Battle
| 1 | The Phase 5 starts with a cutscene. After watching the cutscene, you will then take control of Misaki Aso. |

| 2 | Inside the Room 207, check the beds and pick up some (Blue Crystals) and (Ayako’s Memo). Leave the room through a big door. |
| 3 | Examine the door and Ghost #52: Girl Watching Misaki will show up behind you. Turn around and take a shot of the ghost. |
| 4 | Proceed to the next area through a small door, pick up (Torn Memo) on the bed and some Red Crystals near the lamp. |
| 5 | You won’t be able to enter the next room since it is locked, take a picture of the door to get (Squashed Doll) photo. |
| 6 | Return to the previous room and examine the center of the huge screen to find the doll from the photo. |
| 7 | Pick up the (Rusted Key) and enter the next room again. Before opening the locked door earlier, equip your (Type-14 Film) for a ghost battle. |
| 8 | You will fight Ayako’s ghost again, apply the same tactics you used from your last battle. You can also wait for her to bloom to get a shot of Ghost #200: Ayako – Blooming. |
| 9 | After the ghost battle, proceed to the next door. |
2F Hidden Room → 2F Elevator Hallway → Balcony
| 1 | Examine the blue light on the nearby wall to get (Power Up Lens “Slow”). Look for a bed and pick up (Picture of a Film Screening), (Rogetsu Kagura Video Archive), (Film Reel) and (Black Notebook 2). |

| 2 | Point your camera at the bed then aim it at the bottom of the until you find Hozuki Doll #32. |
| 3 | As you walk in the room, your Ghost Filament will keep flashing. Follow the direction indicated by your Ghost Filament and take a picture once the circle turns blue to capture Ghost #219: Head Surgery Specimen. |
| 4 | Enter the door and proceed to the next area. Continue past the stairs and enter the door on your left. |
| 5 | As you enter the balcony, your Ghost Filament will keep flashing which indicates that there’s a ghost nearby. Point your camera at the garden and move forward until the your Ghost Filament turns blue. Take a photo of Ghost #215: Several Patients Blooming. |
| 6 | Return to the previous area and use the stairs to head back to first floor. |
1F Elevator Hallway → 102 Reigetsu, Dining Room → Madoka Tsukimori Ghost Battle
| 1 | Find the couch that has a blue light on it and pick up some (Blue Crystals). You can save your progress on the nearby lantern before you proceed to the next area. |

| 2 | Inside the room, you can find two blue lights. Examine one in the kitchen to get (Red Crystals) and another one on a table to get (Blue Crystals). |
| 3 | Look for a projector nearby and equip Type-14 Film before you examine it. Prepare to battle Madoka Tsukimori after the cutscene. |
| 4 | You fought this ghost before, keep your distance and use the same tactics from your previous battle. |
| 5 | After you defeat the ghost, enter the door that leads to a hallway with a courtyard view. |
1F Hall with Courtyard View → 1F Elevator Hallway Revisit 1 → Katsuhito Kariya Ghost Battle
| 1 | Move forward until Ghost #53: Man Lurking in Passage appears behind you. Aim your camera at the ghost and take a photo. |

| 3 | The moment you walk through the elevator, a ghost will show up. Take a photo of Ghost #54: Girl in Elevator before she disappears. |
| 4 | You can save your progress before proceeding to the second floor. |
| 5 | A ghost will appear the moment you set foot on the second floor. Prepare to battle Katsuhito Kariya. |
| 6 | You fought this ghost before, keep moving and make sure the ghost is in front of you before shooting. |
| 7 | After the ghost battle, head northwest and proceed to the next area. |
2F 101 Mistuki, Entrance → Second Floor Ward Hallway → 206 Shogetsu Kazuto Amaki
| 1 | Follow the path forward until Ghost #59: Hallway Woman shows up behind you. Aim your camera at her and take a photo. |

| 2 | As you move forward, you will hear a knocking sound to the door on your left. Enter the room and examine the radio. |
| 3 | A cutscene will play and your Ghost Filament will keep flashing. Aim your camera in the direction it indicates until the indicator turns blue, then take a photo of Ghost #218: Crouching Boy. |
| 4 | You can now go back to the elevator and proceed to the next floor. |
3F Rogetsu, Elevator Hallway → Shishiyuu Management Office → Third Floor Ward, Hallway
| 1 | Look for a couch nearby to get some (Blue Crystals) and head downstairs to obtain some (Red Crystals). After getting the items, return to the third floor and proceed to the next area. |

| 2 | Look for a blue light on the nearby locker to obtain some (Red Crystals) and find the cabinet nearby to obtain (Interview – Misaki Aso) and (Tape Recorder). |
| 3 | Listen to the tape and proceed to the next area. |
| 4 | Follow the path forward until see a set of cabinets, move to the right cabinet to find Hozuki Doll#33. |
| 5 | You will then see a door to your right, examine the door and take a photo of it to get Red Wheelchair Photo. |
| 6 | Head back to the previous area until Ghost #55: Girls Running Away appears. Take a quick photo of them and keep heading back to the previous area. |
3F Rogetsu, Elevator Hallway Revisit 1 → Third Floor Ward, Hallway → 311 Kamikizuki Kageri Sendo
| 1 | The moment you reach the elevator hallway, Ghost #56: Girls Going Somewhere will appear. Take a photo of them and follow them to the next area. |

| 2 | Continue moving forward then turn right, you will see Ghost #57: Girls Peering into the Room and take a quick shot of ghosts. |
| 3 | Before you enter the door ahead, take a shot of Hozuki Doll #35 in front of you and pick up (Type-61 Film) on the table. |
| 4 | Inside the room, head to the roses on your right and look closely to find Hozuki Doll #36. Turn left and pick up some (Blue Crystals). |
| 5 | Look for a big curtain and enter the small room. |
| 6 | Examine the coffins inside the room to obtain (Kageri Sendo’s Letter 1) and (Kageri Sendo’s Letter 2). |
| 7 | Your Ghost Filament will be flashing if you have a Sense Function equipped. Aim your camera towards the coffin and take a shot of Ghost #230: Girl in Coffin. |
| 8 | Return to the red wheelchair and pick up (Kamisarizuki Key). |
| 9 | If you attempt to leave the room, Ghost #58: Standing Black Woman will show up behind you. Take a photo of her and prepare for a ghost battle. |
Watashi Ghost Battle → 3F Rogetsu, Elevator Hallway Revisit 2 → Third Floor Ward, Hallway Revisit 2
| 1 | Walk towards the coffin and a ghost battle will begin. The ghost will charge at you, use your Power up Lens “Slow” to slow her down. Hit her with two or three Fatal Frame combos to easily beat her. |

| 2 | After the ghost battle, you can now head back to the elevator hallway. Save your progress before proceeding to Misaki’s room. |
| 3 | Go to Misaki’s room and unlock the door using the key you obtained earlier. |
Room 310 Kamisarizuki Misaki Aso → Shoji Katagiri and Shie Sonosaki Ghost Battle → Third Floor Ward, Hallway Revisit 2
| 1 | Inside the room, look inside the garbage can on your to find Hozuki Doll #37. |

| 2 | Pick up (Old Research) near the lamp and turn left to find (Power Up Lens “Track”) on a shelf. |
| 3 | When you approach the bed, you will see a puzzle that you will solve later and then a cutscene will play. Since there will be a ghost battle after the cutscene, you should equip your Type-14 Film before approaching the bed. |
| 4 | In this battle you will be fighting 2 ghosts, keep moving and focus on taking out the nurse since she attacks more often. You can also wait for the nurse to bloom to capture Ghost #158: Shie Sonosaki – Blooming. After taking out the nurse, you can easily deal with the other one. |
| 5 | After defeating the ghosts, Pick up (Colored Koi Panel) under the bed. |
| 6 | Solve the puzzle you saw earlier. Try solving the bottom part first, then start from right to left. Proceed to the middle part after you finish the bottom part and finally the upper part of the puzzle. |
| 7 | After the puzzle is solved, you will obtain (Flat Zinc-Cast Key) and (A Photo of a Faceless Woman). A cutscene will play and finally, the Phase 5: Twin Faces will be cleared. |
