Post-Game Unlockables Guide for Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse
This page contains a guide on all post-game unlockables for Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse (Project Zero 4 Remake), including new game modes, outfits and costumes, items, and other features that become accessible after beating the game’s main story chapters.
New Difficulty Modes (Hard and Nightmare Difficulty)
After beating the game on Normal, you will unlock Hard difficulty which features more aggressive enemies that have increased health and damage output. To make the game more challenging, items such as Herbal Medicine, Sacred Water, and Type 61 Film cannot be purchased at the shop.
Once you beat Hard mode, Nightmare difficulty becomes available. While ghosts encountered will pose a similar level of challenge to hard, you will not be able to buy any items at all throughout the entirety of the main story.
Mission Mode
Mission Mode also becomes available after clearing the main story on Normal mode. This game mode lets you challenge several time-attack style levels with your performance being evaluated at the end. Beating all missions lets you unlock new costumes and accessories for each of the playable characters so it is worth spending time on these optional levels to achieve 100% completion.
New Outfits and Accessories
Additional outfits and accessories are added upon beating the main story. Some cosmetic items also become available by clearing Mission Mode on specific ranks.
