What is Blossoming?
In Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse Remaster (Project Zero 4 Remake), hostile ghosts called Wraiths will sometimes undergo a special change called Blossoming. This causes their faces to lose distinct features and will appear generally blurry. When a Wraith has blossomed, they will become more powerful and can often kill you in a few hits.
Certain entries in the Ghost List require you to shoot blossoming enemies.
To complete the Ghost List, you will need to take a photo of various enemies when they have blossomed. Because of this, it is important to know how to make ghosts blossom if you want to aim for 100% completion (Platinum trophy).

Ways to Make Wraiths Blossom
Lower their health.
The chances of a ghost blossoming increases when you lower their health in battle. A good way to force them to blossom is to use Type 07 Film to slowly chip away at their health. With each incremental decrease to their HP, they may undergo the change if you try to wait a few seconds after each shot.
Use lenses that have the repel effect to knock ghosts away.
It is also possible to trigger blossoming by using special lenses that cause ghosts to be knocked away. Below are useful options to increase the chances of blossoming wraiths and where to find them in the game.

The chance of hostile ghosts undergoing blossoming is higher on harder difficulties. If you missed your chance to trigger the change against a specific ghost during your previous run, try starting a new playthrough on Hard or Nightmare difficulty for better chances of getting the shot you need.
