Introduction
Map is an 8 x 6 Grid
Fire Emblem Heroes utilize an 8 x 6 Grid to display the overview of the battle map. Since the tiles reflect fully on the screen, it makes it convenient and easy for the eyes.
Defeat all enemies to Clear the Map
To secure a win condition requires that the enemy is successfully taken out. The presence of elements in the grid will determine the duration of the battle. For example, the appearance of the boss might prolong it.
Fallen Characters will revive
FEH digresses from the norm of traditional Fire Emblem installments that utilize the Permadeath mechanic. Fortunately in this game, characters will revive after being knocked out.
Combat
How to engage in battle
To engage in a battle, highlight a character then have him overlap the tile occupied by an enemy. This will initiate a battle sequence. Alternatively, tapping the desired end point will produce the same result.
Factoring Attributes

Fire Emblem Heroes classifies characters into 3: Flame, Wind, or Thunder, each having their own strengths and weaknesses. The presence of elements allow characters to deal twice the amount of damage, therefore it is important to note and compare attributes before you pit one of yours with the enemy.
Familiarize with the terrain
Characters will be battling in various terrains, some might end up climbing on a mountain, while others might be left below. By assigning long range characters to defend higher ground, they can be effective against enemies at the base of the mountain.
Gimmicks
Similar to previous installments, FEH makes use of Gimmicks such as breaking through walls. This welcomes players to think outside the box and play creatively to win.
Movement tactics
When deciding to move a character, try to observe the range of tiles that your opponent has access to in comparison to yours. In other words, watch closely how your opponent moves, then keep track of attribute advantages to secure a victory.
