Hector is the General of Ostia. He’s also a friend of Eliwood and the brother of the Marquess of Ostia. Despite being of noble birth, Hector prefers being on the battlefield rather than court politics.
Stats
At Level 1 and a 5 star at that, Hector isn’t valued for his movement or his attack. He is however valued for being a large roadblock that can be difficult to take down. His HP pool is already large for a level 1 and what makes him harder to take down is his armored classification. Because of this, he’s highly valued for stalling and bringing out the protracted game.

Strategy
Because of his armored status, you can have him block a path and take all the damage. Pair him up with either mages, archers, and throwing knife users to abuse his crazy defense. He also reduces the incoming damage from enemies. Keep your long range hitters near him as he has the Spur ATK 2 which bolsters the attack of ranged allies.
Because of his tankiness, Hector becomes a valuable member of the team. His ability to stall a battle to allow you to pick your enemies off one by one is what can win you a battle. Also, he has the ability to aid armoured units in combat such as Effie or Draug. Being a five star as well, he has higher stats than most.
He appreciates teammates that have cover his low Stats which include having high RES, SPD, and can easily move across the map. This includes Nowi who because of her classification can cover Hector’s problem notably Red tome users. She also blocks any sword wielders from engaging with Hector thanks to her Passive Skill. Hector would then cover Nowi against Bow-type users.
Counter
- Tiki – As a Dragon unit, her inherent stats allow her to combat Hector’s low RES due to her high ATK (Magic) coupled with her typing and naturally bulky DEF.
- Lucina – Due to her type advantage against Hector, she can easily double him especially when she’s going offensive due to her Speed and high ATK.
