What is Rivals Mode?

The new Rivals Mode of Forza Motorsport 8 allows you to compete against the ghost clone of another player who has set a time goal for a certain course and car combination.

This mode centers of competitive and fun racing where you beat your own time and time of other players. Completing races and challenges will also reward you credits, experience points, and prizes.

How does Rivals Mode work for credit farming?

You gain credits by beating your opponent’s time or a clear record. Other credits you will get experience points and trophies. Take note that the type of event, car class, time difference and other modification you set up will influence the number of credits you earn.

Spec Series

This series will give a player a car with default settings and must race with it. Upgrades and tuning options are not available, but you can use drive assist settings.

Spec Series will help players test their driving skills and see how they will compare to other players.

Open Series

This series centers on bringing any that fits a certain class requirement. Open series is a weekly race event and feature a different car class.

This series is similar with other modes, but it features clearing a lap as quickly as possible with set car parameters.

Join this series to improve on your speed and consistency.

Track Days

This series emphasizes racing on a track. Finish the race under a specific time while avoiding accidents with other competitors.

Play this series to improve your overtaking and defensive driving skills.

Autocross

This series adds gates and cones on courses. Avoid hitting the cones or else get a time penalty on your lap.

Participate on this series to improve on your driving accuracy and agility.

Drift

This series also involves racing with a specific car class. Finish the race while overcoming limitations on the car class available.
