Forza Motorsport 8 (2023) - Weather Conditions (Rain)

Forza Motorsport 8 (2023) features a dynamic day and weather cycle that can change throughout a race. As you play through different racing events, you will occasionally need to make adjustments to your driving based on how harsh the environment is to your vehicle.

Time of Day

The time of day affects the track’s overall surface temperature, affecting how well your car’s tires perform in terms of acceleration, cornering, and braking. In general, more heat on the track means that it is more likely for tires to lose grip, requiring you to make subtle adjustments to your driving.

The amount of daylight on the track will also affect your visibility behind the wheel. Driving after dark will obviously force you to concentrate on the track up to where your headlights can reveal, making nighttime races more challenging than those that take place in the day.

Weather

The current weather also affects how cold or warm the track is but also determines whether the road is wet or dry. Tracks drenched in rain obviously makes it more slippery so slowing down earlier than normal to attack corners is recommended.

Racing on different weather conditions also involve driving on a track’s wet and dry lines and recognizing the rubbered in sections of the track. These road conditions also affect your vehicle’s traction which becomes very noticeable as you work the throttle and brakes during the race.

As with the effects of the time of day, heavy downpours will give you poorer visibility of the track compared to driving in clear weather. Water droplets also begin to form on the screen the longer you drive under the rain which is always present regardless of driving in first-person or third-person view.
