Aloha Links Guide for Like a Dragon 8: Infinite Wealth (Yakuza 8)

What is Aloha Links?
A feature that allows you to interact with other NPCs in the game.
Aloha Links is a feature that allows you to interact, greet, and bond with other NPCs in the game. Greeting people or animals with smiley face symbols above their heads will earn you Personality Points.
In addition, Aloha Links also refers to NPCs that you can build bonds with. Open the Aloha Links tab to see the people or animals you have bonded with.
Talk to Kei in the Revolve Bar to learn more about Aloha Links.
If you wish to learn more about Aloha Links, head to the Revolve Bar and talk to Kei. There are 4 types of friends that you can befriend or greet in Hawaii, and the way you interact with them depends on their responding types. Additionally, ordering food from Kei will also deepen your bond with her, so if you are in the Revolve Bar, order some food to get closer to Kei.

How to Greet and Befriend NPCs

| How to Greet People or Animals (NPCs) | Press the Square button in front of NPCs with smiley faces above their heads. |

Greetings can be performed by pressing the Square (□) button in front of people or animals with smiley faces above their heads. If you open the Aloha Links tab, you will see your relationship with other NPCs. A purple smiley face indicates that you are buddies with the NPC, whereas a green smiley face indicates that you are friends with the NPC.
Note that you cannot greet people if you are riding a vehicle.
How to Befriend People and Animals

Successfully befriending an NPC will turn their smiley faces to green. This will reward you with +10 Personality points, and the NPC will be added to your Friend List. Keep making friends to earn extra points for your Personality Stats and to unlock an achievement in the game.
Benefits of Greetings and Making Friends
Increases your Personality Stats.
Greeting someone in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth will give you +5 points on a random Personality Stat. Therefore, keep on greeting people or animals to earn points and increase your Personality Stats, as it not only improves Ichiban Kasuga’s Personality but also unlocks some achievements in the game.

Befriending people.
Befriending people or animals in the game will give you +10 points on a random Personality Stat, but it may take a while and may require you to greet the NPCs multiple times. Some of them may also ask for food; animals, for example, will mostly ask for dog food or cat food.
Some NPCs may give you items.
If you manage to fully increase an NPC’s gauge, you will become friends with the NPC you are currently interacting with. Additionally, some NPCs may give you items if you have successfully befriended them. Buster the dog, for example, will give you a weapon enhancement item if you successfully fill his gauge.
Aloha Links Rewards
Reaching a certain number of friends through Aloha Links will reward you with the following items:
