How to Increase Bond Level Guide for Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth
Ways to Raise Bond Levels
Talk to your allies over meals at restaurants.
Your bond with allies goes up when you trigger a meal talk by ordering meal combos at a restaurant.
For meal talks to occur, you must order dishes by looking at the meal combo effects at the lower right corner of the food menu screen.
You can also try ordering everying on a restaurant’s menu (if you have enough money to spend).
Note that the demo only allows you to trigger meal talks once even if you try to activate a specific meal combo multiple times. This may or may not be changed in the full version of the game.
Give your allies presents.
A gift icon may sometimes appear when you enter certain shops in the game. This means that a gift can be purchased for one of your friends to increase your bond level with them.
Bear in mind that each of your friends will prefer a gift that suits their own personal taste. Because of this, try to get to know them more through bond walks and other events so you can pick out the best gift for them.
Play mini games together.
You can also deepen your bond with characters by spending time with them at play spots (mini game areas). Try taking your allies to sing at the karaoke bar or play darts with them to raise bond levels throughout the main story.
Complete Bond Bingo.
Bonds with allies also go up when you meet specific conditions on the Bond Bingo screen.
Completing the Bond Bingo will trigger the Bond Sanpo Finale which will reward you with useful items once you have cleared it.
Trigger party chats.
Triggering party chats in specific locations in the game can also raise your bond level with various party members. Look for green titles that appear on the left side of the screen. In these conversations with allies, you will sometimes be given choices that can lead to increased bond levels with allies.
Clear battles.
Bond levels also go up whenever you clear battles with party members. You gain a +1 increase in Bond with allies for defeating regular enemies and a +10 for taking down bosses and tougher foes. In general, the stronger the enemies you win against, the faster your Bond Levels go up.
Benefits of Raising Bond Levels
Allows you to learn Tag Team attacks.
Raising your Bond with allies lets you learn powerful Tag Team attacks that can be used during battle.
Performing a Bond Pursuit or ending a character’s turn will cause the gauge to the right of the character icon (called the Hype Meter) to fill up. To activate a Tag Team attack, press the R2 button in the order in which a character has filled up their gauge.
It is also possible to unleash an even more powerful Tag Team attack called the Ultimate Tag Team during Kasuga’s turn. To perform the Ultimate Tag Team, all characters who have learned a Tag Team Attack must have filled up their gauges by the time Kasuga is able to act.
Note that you can hold off using your accumulated Hype Meter and save it for the next battle. This means that it is possible to save a Tag Team and Ultimate Tag Team attack for when you are about to take on powerful foes, especially bosses, during the main story.
Activates passive abilities during Bond Drama.
Useful passive abilities can also be learned by raising your Bond Levels and triggering Bond Dramas. Many of these passive skills grant effects that can give you the edge in battle such as increasing the activation rate of Bond Pursuit on enemies knocked down by allies or increasing the power of certain ally-related moves.
May unlock new jobs (to be confirmed).
As with the previous Like a Dragon turn-based RPG title, increasing Bond Levels in Infinite Wealth is likely to unlock more jobs for each character. More information on this will be added when they are confirmed from official sources.
