New Game Plus (NG+) Guide for Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth

How to Unlock New Game Plus (NG+)

Only accessible via the Master Vacation Bundle (paid DLC) after clearing the main story.

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth’s New Game Plus (NG+) mode is only available if you have purchased the Master Vacation Bundle DLC and have beaten the game. There is no way to gain access to this game mode in the base version.

NG+ Features

Difficulty Select

Starting NG+ mode lets you play the game on three available difficulty settings which are Normal, Hard, or Legend.

There are two (2) new achievements added to the game via the Master Vacation Bundle DLC which can only be unlocked by beating the game on Hard and Legend difficulties. This means that you will need to replay the main story at least three (3) times to get 100% completion with the aforementioned DLC installed.

As the achievements above are exclusive to the DLC, they are not required to get 100% completion in the base game.

Carry-Over Elements

While yet to be confirmed, it is expected that character and job levels, bond levels, money, skills, items, and other features will be carried over to your NG+ playthrough. This allows you to take on the harder difficulty modes competently as you will have access to late-game equipment if you decide to play through the main story from the beginning.

Big Swell (New Story Quests, Items, Outfits, Sujimon, and Resort Guests)

Beating the game and going into NG+ also lets you begin the Big Swell episode, a new post-game story section in the Master Vacation Bundle add-on. Exclusive items, outfits, and Sujimon are likely to be rewarded for clearing story quests under the Big Swell extra episode which are not obtainable in the base game.

Alongside the features mentioned above, new resort guests will also appear during the Big Swell post-game story quests.

The Big Swell episode is also tied to a several DLC-excusive achievements which are listed below. As with the difficulty-related trophies, these are not required to get 100% completion in the base game.

The Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth Master Vacation Bundle is a paid update to the game containing additional post-game content. Players can get the Master Vacation Bundle DLC by pre-ordering the Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth Deluxe or Ultimate Editions or purchasing it separately from various platform online stores.
