How to Get Hero Tokens Guide for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2

You can earn Hero Tokens by completing different missions and collecting items within the city of New York.

The Flame Missions

Players will earn Hero Tokens for completing The Flame missions. There are four The Flame missions available in the game, each of which tasks Spider-Man with rescuing civilians from burning buildings.

Hunter Bases

Spider-Man can engage in combat with Kraven’s henchmen by going to one of Kraven’s Hunter Bases in New York City. After successfully destroying the bases and eliminating the enemies inside, players will receive Hero Tokens as a reward.

Cultural Museum Missions

Cultural Museum missions are side quests exclusive to Peter Parker, in which he investigates criminal activities in museums and other cultural-related venues. After completing the 2 Cultural Museum Missions, you can get a good amount of Hero Tokens that you can use for upgrading suits, suit techs, and gadgets.

Symbiote Nest

You can also receive Hero Tokens by destroying the Symbiote Nests that are dispersed over the city of New York. These missions task Spider-Man to guard an explosive for a specific time, which, if successful, will cause the Symbiote Nest to disintegrate and disappear from the city.

Mysterium Dev Diaries

On your map, you will see diamond icons that indicate the Mysterium Dev Diaries, which Mysterio has scattered throughout New York City. Find the Mysterium Dev Diaries to receive Hero Tokens and get closer to Mysterio. Completing all 10 Mysterium Dev Diaries will unlock the “Confront Mysterio” side quest, in which you will face Mysterio himself.

How to Use the Hero Token

Used for upgrades

Hero Tokens can be used to upgrade and unlock Spider-Man Suits, Suit Techs, and Gadgets. These tokens are deemed to be among the more difficult ones to acquire because the missions don’t give out many Hero Tokens compared to other resources, and the difficulty of the missions you need to accomplish is quite high.
