| Onion | Location | How to Get |

| Red Onion | Rescue Command Post | Unlocked automatically during the main story. |
| Yellow Onion | Sun-Speckled Terrace | The Yellow Onion can be found on the southwest side of Sun-Speckled Terrace. To get the onion, players must crush a paper bag that is blocking the path to the Yellow Onion. |
| Yellow Onion | Blossoming Arcadia | The Yellow Onion can be found south of the first base in Blossoming Arcadia. Players must destroy a wall in order to find the onion. |
| Blue Onion | Sun-Speckled Terrace |
The Blue Onion can be found on the southern side of Sun-Speckled Terrace (near the pond). Players must freeze the pond in order to reach and retrieve the onion. |
| Blue Onion | Serene Shores |
The Blue Onion can be found on the southeast side of Serene Shores. Players must build a climbing wall in order to find the onion. |
| Light Blue Onion (Ice Onion) | Hero’s Hideaway |
The Light Blue Onion can be found on the northern side of Hero’s Hideaway. Players must clear the Frozen Inferno Cave to get the onion near the kitchen freezer. |
| Pink Onion | Primordial Thicket |
The Pink Onion can be found on the southeast corner of the Primordial Thicket (near the swamp). Players must first finish the main story and rescue Olimar to gain access to the onion. |
| Black Onion (Rock Onion) | Giant’s Hearth |
The Black Onion can be found on the southern side of Giant’s Hearth. Players must destroy a wall using Bomb Rocks to find the onion. |
| White Onion | Trial of the Sage Leaf |
The White Onion can be acquired by completing the Trial of the Sage Leaf (5th Story: The White Key). |

In Pikmin 4, Onions are huge, circular organisms that serve as nests for the Pikmin. There are 5 different kinds of Onions (3 in the demo), each with a distinct color that corresponds to either Red, Blue, Yellow, Rock and Winged Pikmin.
