Character Creation Guide for Pikmin 4
How to Unlock Character Creation (ID Badge)
Clear the Prologue (Tutorial).
Pikmin 4‘s character creation (ID Badge) feature is unlocked once you have cleared the game’s Prologue (tutorial section) with Captain Olimar.
A number of different customization options are available in the game, ranging from body type, hair style, hair color, and suit color, to make your character’s appearance to your liking. You will also be able to name your character before deploying to your rescue mission.

No gender options available.
There are currently no gender options available at the character creation screen. In general, it is recommended to just create your character based on how you want them to look in the game.
Can You Change your Character’s Appearance and Name Later?
Can be changed after going through the character creation screen (Pikmin 4 full game only).
As can be seen in the character creation screen, it is possible to change your character’s appearance and name even after going through ID Badge customization and deploying to your mission. Note that editing your look and name can only be done in the full version of the game.
Pikmin 4 Permanent Events and Missable Features
Not available in the demo.
There is currently no way to reset your character’s appearance in the demo version of Pikmin 4 apart from restarting the main story.
