How to Get Light Blue Onion (Ice Onion) Guide for Pikmin 4

Summary

1. Unlock the Hero’s Hideaway by reaching 7000 Sparklium.
2. Purchase the Scorch Guard at The Lab.
3. Purchase the Scorch Guard (Oatchi) at The Lab.
4. Head to the Feasting Centre and build a new base.
5. Find the dig spot near the kitchen counter and use it to reach the top.
6. Enter the Frozen Inferno Cave.
7. Equip the Scorch Guard on your character and Oatchi.
8. After beating the Frozen Inferno Cave, it will lead you to the other side of the area.
9. Flip the switch on top of a book to activate the fan below.
10. Get on the floating platform.
11. Destroy the ice surrounding the onion using your Pikmin and carry it back to the base.

Purchase the Scorch Guard at The Lab

Purchase both the Scorch Guard for your character and Oatchi (total of 150 Raw Materials).

This gear is required to beat the Frozen Inferno Cave. With that being said, it is recommended to accumulate 150 Raw Materials before heading into the cave.

Head to the Feasting Centre

Once you are in the Feasting Center, you will find a landing spot—a spot where you can build a base.

Build a base so that you can easily fuse the Ice Onion with the onions after retrieving it.

Find the dig spot near the kitchen counter

The dig spot can be found somewhere near the kitchen counter. Once found, dig the spot to make a tunnel that leads to the top of the kitchen counter.

On the top, you will find a stove that has an entrance to the Frozen Inferno Cave.

Beat the Frozen Inferno Cave

This cave is rather straightforward, but you will need the Scorch Guard for your character and Oatchi to beat it.

Inside the cave, heated floors and enemies await, which is where the Scorch Guard comes in. Defeat the enemies and find the exit to the cave.

The exit to this cave will lead you to the other side of the kitchen counter.

Flip the Switch to activate the Fan below

Throw some Pikmin on the switch on top of a book to activate the fan below.

Get on the floating platform to find the Ice Onion

Get on the floating platform to reach the freezer, where the Ice Onion is. Destroy the ice surrounding the onion using your Pikmin and carry it back to the base you recently built.
