How to Get Raw Materials Guide for Pikmin 4

Found above ground (surface).

In Pikmin 4, Raw Materials can be found as you explore the above-ground areas (surface) of the game’s various regions. Whenever you unlock a new area to explore, try spend time to look for these resources to avoid missing out on them.

Found in caves (underground).

Raw Materials are also commonly found in caves, either by moving or destroying certain obstacles in the different underground sublevels. Use Oatchi to break walls or pottery to collect as many Raw Materials as you can during missions.

What are Raw Materials?

Collectible resource used to craft gear and items at The Lab.

Raw Materials are a type of collectible resource found throughout the game which are used for crafting equipment and tools. The resource appears as a pile of light blue crystals with varying values (indicated by the number above them).

Once you have unlocked Russ’ lab, you can spend Raw Materials you have accumulated to craft gear and items to help you take on more challenging missions as you progress further into the main story.

Crafted gear and items cannot be undone (to be confirmed).

Note that you cannot refund any Raw Materials spent at Russ’ lab as the game automatically saves your progress upon item creation (to be confirmed). Because of this, try to decide carefully which tools you will need so you can progress smoothly, especially for the game’s early missions.
