How to Get Black Onion (Rock Onion) Guide for Pikmin 4

1. Rescue Olimar.
2. Head to the Giant’s Hearth.
3. Head to the south of Giant’s Hearth.
4. Destroy the wall using Bomb Rocks.
5. Move forward until you find a green plant-like object.
6. Defeat the huge enemy in the area.
7. Move forward until you see the Black Onion (Rock Onion).
8. Carry the onion back to your base.

Head to the South of Giant’s Hearth

Set the base near the bricks as your starting point, then head south to find the area where the Rock Onion is.

Destroy the wall using Bomb Rocks

You will come across a massive wall that can be destroyed by using some Bomb Rocks on the middle section of the wall.

Bomb Rocks can be bought at The Lab for 8 Raw Materials.

Enter the area behind the wall and move forward until you find a green plant-like object

Once the wall is destroyed, enter the next area and look for the green plant-like object. Throw a Pikmin at the object to reveal the huge enemy waiting for you.

Defeat the huge enemy in the area

You need to defeat the enemy before getting the Rock Onion to ensure that you can bring the onion back to the base safely.

The fastest way to deal with this huge enemy is to use the Ultra-Spicy Spray item.

Use the Ultra-Spicy Spray on Oatchi and your Pikmin, and whenever the enemy opens its mouth, charge forward to do a counterattack that deals massive damage.

Move forward until you find the Black Onion (Rock Onion)

Keep moving forward until you find the Black Onion (Rock Onion) buried in the ground. Dig it out and have your 30 Pikmin carry it back to the base.
