How to Unlock Giant’s Hearth (Fifth Map Area) Guide for Pikmin 4

Clear the main story and accumulate 11,000 Sparklium.

You can unlock Giant’s Hearth, the fifth explorable map area in Pikmin 4, after beating the game and watching the ending and credits. Note that this requires you to defeat the mysterious Red Leafling one final time during the main story Dandori Battle Leafy Showdown.

Pikmin 4 Post-Game Unlockables Guide

After defeating the Red Leafling and watching the game’s ending and credit, you will need to accumulate at least 11,000 Sparklium to gain access to the Giant’s Hearth. Then, talk to Collin to travel to the post-game region.

Giant’s Hearth Overview

Similar to the Sun Speckled Terrace, Blossoming Arcadia, Serene Shores, and Hero’s Hideaway, Giant’s Hearth features its own Castaways, Treasures, and Onions to find throughout its expanse. This essentially makes exploring the new region a continuation of the main story missions instead of being a bonus area with optional objectives and activities.

Mission: Cure Oatchi

As mentioned above, traveling to Giant’s Hearth is a key event during the post-game story of Pikmin 4 as it picks up from where you left off after the showdown against the Red Leafling. This is because the new post-game mission Cure Oatchi requires you to clear objectives that take place in the new region.

New Castaways

New Castaways requiring your aid are also added in the game. There are 8 of them in total, with most hailing from Hocotate and Koppaite which are home worlds featured in past Pikmin games.
