Defeat the “true” final boss during the main mission Cure Oatchi (post-game).

To unlock the “true” ending of Pikmin 4, you must defeat the Louie and the Ancient Sirehound, the game’s “true” final boss, in the Cavern for a King at Primordial Thicket during the post-game mission Cure Oatchi. This requires you to have viewed the normal ending and credits, as well as accumulated 11,000 Sparklium to gain access to the Giant’s Hearth region to progress through the story.

How to Beat the “True” Final Boss – Louie and the Ancient Sirehound (Cavern for a King)

The true final boss of Pikmin 4 is Louie who will challenge you while riding the Ancient Sirehound. This massive canine mainly attacks with running tackles and jumping body slams which will require you to move around a lot during the fight.

Use the stalagamite-like Rocks as cover and attack the boss’ tail when it is stunned.

You can use the large stalagmite-like rocks that fall from above as cover to make the Ancient Sirehound crash into them and become stunned. Afterwards, use Pikmin to attack its yellow tail to force it topple over and lie flat on its back.

During this time, the Ancient Sirehound will expose its belly. Order Pikmin to attack it to damage the boss before it recovers.

Stay mobile to avoid the projectiles and area-wide attacks that the boss uses.

As fight progresses, the Ancient Sirehound will imbue itself with various elements and use different attacks that fill the entire battlefield. Stay on the move and keep attack its tail until you can force it to lie on the ground again. Target its belly once more to damage it. The boss will eventually go down after a long and somewhat tedious fight.

True Ending – Olimar and the Rescue Corps Homebound

The true ending simply plays a cutscene showing Olimar and the Rescue Corps returning home. The words “The End” then appear on the screen.
