You cannot respec Oatchi’s skills.

In Pikmin 4, Spending Pup Drive points to learn and upgrade different skills for Oatchi via Captain Shepherd’s Rescue Pup Training cannot be undone. This means that there is no way to respec skills you have unlocked for Oatchi throughout the game. Because of this, try to plan the abilities you want your loyal Rescue Pup to learn before using points on them.

Gear and item crafting cannot be undone.

Crafting gear and items at the Russ’ lab is also permanent so any Raw Materials you use to make equipment are lost forever. Note that the game automatically saves your progress whenever you craft at the lab.

Being mindful of what gear and tools you need, especially at the start of the game, will allow you to progress more smoothly when exploring caves or on the surface.
