Swarming (Form Line) Guide for Pikmin 4

What is Swarming?

Commands your Pikmin to form a line in a specific location

Swarming is a returning feature that originally appeared in Pikmin and later in Pikmin 2. In the recently released Pikmin 4, Swarming is called “Form Line”, and you must be equipped with the Lineup Trumpet to perform the action.

Allows your Pikmin to attack simultaneously

Swarming allows your Pikmin to surround enemies and attack them simultaneously, rather than throwing them at enemies one by one. By doing this, your Pikmin will also return to you faster, as Swarming requires you to be close to your squad at any time.

How to Do Swarming (Form Line)

Hold ZL + Right Stick

In order to perform the Swarming or Form Line action, you must first acquire the Lineup Trumpet.

Once you have acquired the Lineup Trumpet gear, simply press and hold the ZL button, then use the Right Stick to move your Pikmin in the direction you want them to go.
