How to Perfect Dodge

Press the Circle button before an enemy attack hits.

Unleash a Counterattack after performing a Perfect Dodge.

Upon performing a Perfect Dodge, immediately press the Triangle button (Heavy Attack) to launch a counterattack on the enemy. It is impossible to stop the enemy’s attack, therefore guard the enemy’s attacks and dodge the last blow.

By doing this, you will be able to perform and land a counterattack safely.

Dodge the enemy’s yellow attacks.

An enemy attack that flashes a yellow light cannot be blocked or guarded, so try to dodge it instead.

Tips for Perfect Dodge

Dodge at the right moment.

Dodge by pressing the Circle button before the enemy attack lands. If you press the button too early, you will perform a normal dodge, but if you press the button too late, the enemy’s attack will hit you.

You can change the game difficulty to activate the Action Assist setting.

If you are having trouble with dodging, you can change the game difficulty to “Story” and turn on the “Action Assist” in settings. Doing so will activate an assistance system, in which a button will appear at the exact moment to perfectly dodge an enemy attack.

Unlock Support Skills.

In the Skill Kiosk, you can unlock skills that can boost or enhance your Perfect Dodge. The Reflex Boost increases the Perfect Dodge window, which improves the chance of perfectly dodging an enemy attack.

Equipment can also enhance Perfect Dodge.

Aside from Perfect Dodge Upgrades, you can also equip some equipment with an effect or skill that improves Perfect Dodge. The Reflex Exospine, for example, increases the likelihood of dodging attacks.
