Stellar Blade - How to Sprint

How to Sprint Guide for Stellar Blade (Project EVE)

Press the left analog stick (L3) to sprint.

To sprint in Stellar Blade (Project EVE), press down on the left analog stick (L3). As you keep the stick pressed down, you will keep dashing until you run into an enemy blocking your way.

Can also be done by holding the 〇 button.

You can also sprint by holding the 〇 button while moving. This way of dashing, however, is generally not recommended as the 〇 button is also used to dodge attacks. Because of this, try getting used to using the L3 button to sprint instead.

How to Air Dash

Press ✕ > ◯ while airborne.

To air dash, press the X button to jump and then 〇 button to dash forward. The distance you can air dash is quite short, making it unsuited for moving around efficiently.

Air dashing does have its benefits such as being able to reach areas that you would not normally be able to using a normal jump.

Tips for Using Sprint

Keep holding down L3 to sprint faster.

You will speed up after going into a sprint if you keep holding down the L3 button while exploring large maps. Note that it is not possible to accelerate while going through narrow passages in other maps and facilities.

Sprinting is also useful in battle.

Sprinting can also be used to evade enemy attacks in battle that are hard to parry or dodge. Try creating some space between you and the enemy if you need to heal as well.

Rush can also be used to sprint.

Performing Rush by pressing and holding the △ button also allows you to dash towards a specific direction in a similar manner to sprinting. You will want to get comfortable closing the gap between you and your target by sprinting or using Rush to give you different options for approaching or pulling back in battle.

Rush, however, has a cooldown time after use which means that you cannot use it continuously. In these cases, sprinting is more effective for avoiding attacks or moving away.
