Money Farming Guide for Star Ocean: The Divine Force

In Star Ocean: The Divine Force (Star Ocean 6), the main form of money is Fol and is used to purchase equipment from various shops, craft items, and avail of other useful services in the game.

As you go through the game’s main story, try to take the time farming money keep your party stocked up on healing items and other consumables and have access to strong weapons, armor, and accessories via crafting.

Ways to Earn Money (Fol)

Defeat enemies in battle.

You are rewarded money each time you defeat enemies in battle. Because of this, try to explore new areas  to find foes you can take out to earn Fol.

Each battle is also a good way to earn experience (XP) to level up and earn Skill Points (SP). You will also learn about specific enemy weaknesses, perfectly evading certain moves, and safe openings to attack through battling as much as possible.

Leveling Guide

Do side quests.

You can also earn money by clearing side quests found in various locations that you visit during the main story. Doing optional quests are also a good way to obtain useful items and other rewards or may even unlock more missions you can do.

Side Quest List and Rewards

Sell unwanted items at shops.

Another way to get money is to offload any items you do not need at shops. Certain enemy rare enemy drops are a good source of Fol if you can spend time farming them in the game.

Win Esowa games (to be confirmed).

While not yet confirmed from official sources, it is possible that winning Esowa games may also reward you with some Fol. More information on this will be added when it is confirmed in the game.

Tips to Earn Money Fast

Activate Battle Bonuses using Surprise Attacks.

Initiating combat using Surprise Attacks will activate Battle Bonuses that reward you with more money and XP. To perform Surprise Attacks, try coming at your target from the air.  In general, you want to get into the habit of initiating combat this way when farming enemies for Fol.

Unlock Albaird’s Rainy Day Fund skill.

Albaird’s Rainy Day Fund passive skill grants your party increased money gain from battles. This is simply essential for farming money throughout the game.

Lower the game difficulty to Earth.

Note that money gained on any difficulty level is the same even on Earth (Easy). Because of this, you can simply  lower the difficulty from the game’s settings when farming Fol.
