SP Farming Guide for Star Ocean: The Divine Force

In Star Ocean: The Divine Force (Star Ocean 6), you can upgrade a character’s various skills by spending Skill Points (SP) earned throughout the game.

Learning more powerful techniques and abilities expands your strategic options in battle and will help you against tougher enemies in later chapters. Because of this, it is important to take the time earning SP before proceeding further into the main story.

Level Up to Earn SP

You earn SP each time you level up. This means that the more levels you gain from battles, the more SP you will have to freely spend on enhancing skills.

Tips to Earn SP Fast

Activate Battle Bonuses using Surprise Attacks.

To level up and earn SP fast, try getting the drop on enemies by initiating combat with Surprise Attacks. Doing so will activate Battle Bonuses for increased experience (XP) which will speed up the process of grinding levels.

To perform Surprise Attacks, try coming at enemies from the air. If done correctly, your target should get blindsided, triggering the XP and money (Fol) bonuses immediately when the battle begins.

Defeat bosses at Den’mohr Delve.

Defeating bosses at Den’mohr Delve is another good way to earn SP. While challenging to take on, most bosses found in this special dungeon reward massive amounts of XP which will allow you to gain levels faster. Another incentive for spending time in this area is the chance to obtain rare items used in crafting or sold off for money. When fighting bosses, have Elena analyze their weak spots or breakable parts to get special materials or drops from them.

Den’mohr Delve Guide

Unlock Laeticia’s Determined Princess skill.

You can speed up the process of leveling even more by having Laeticia’s Determined Princess passive skill. This ability increases the amount of XP you gain from battles (at the cost of lowering Laeticia’s own abilities) which is very useful for grinding levels through random battles or spending time at Den’mohr Delve.

Lower the game difficulty to Earth.

Note that XP gained on any difficulty level is the same even on Earth (Easy). Because of this, you can simply  lower the difficulty from the game’s settings when farming XP to level up.
