Repulse Tips and Guide for Stellar Blade (Project EVE)
How to Repulse
Tilt the Left Analog Stick downward and press the Circle button when your weapon glows.
To perform a Repulse, tilt the Left Analog stick downward and press the Circle button when your weapon flashes a purple light. If successful, you launch an attack that will knock back your enemy.
Repulse increases long-range attack power and exposes enemy weak points.
You will gain an increase in your long-range attack power if you successfully perform Repulse. It also exposes the weak point of your enemy, making it easier to hit the enemy’s weak point and inflict more damage.
Use Blink on blue enemy attacks.
Enemy attacks that flash blue light cannot be avoided using Repulse. Use Blink instead to defend against these attacks.
Tips for Repulse
Keep an eye on your weapon.
Execute the command controls (Left Analog Stick ↓ + Circle) for Repulse when your weapon flashes a purple light, rather than when the attacking enemy does. If you try to perform Repulse right after the enemy emits a purple light, it will fail. Therefore, if you see a purple light from the enemy, stop your attacks and shift your focus to your weapon’s purple light.
You can change the game difficulty to activate the Action Assist setting.
If you are having trouble with performing Repulse, you can change the game difficulty to “Story” and turn on “Action Assist” in settings. Doing so will activate an assistance system, in which a button will appear at the exact moment to use Repulse.
Unlock Support Skills.
In the Skill Kiosk, you can unlock skills that can boost or enhance your Repulse. Threat Detection makes it slightly easier to perform Repulse. Unlocking this skill will extend the window at which you can activate Repulse.
How to Unlock Repulse
Automatically unlocked at the first Supply Camp.
Repulse will become available as soon as you arrive on the second floor of the first Supply Camp. You will be asked to unlock Blink first, but after that, you will be able to unlock Repulse as well.
