Chapter 3: An Unexpected Encounter Main Quest Walkthrough
| 1 | From the starting location, follow the path to the Soul Tree and view the event. |

| 2 | Move forward and follow the quest marker while defeating the enemies along the way. Pick up Physical Attack Power Up I from the red chest and read the tutorial on Runes. |
| 3 | Continue following the quest marker to the bridge. Head forward and pick up the Verdant Blossom. Note that the collectible is required to get the True Ending. |
| 4 | When you reach the next Soul Tree, you must purify it. Try to take out the enemies in the area first as they will constantly interrupt you while you are purifying the tree. |
| 5 | Approach it and hold L2 until the gauge is fully-charged to purify it. |
| 6 | Head for the next Soul Tree and repeat the process. |
| 7 | Follow the quest marker again. Have Eygon destroy the ice barricade by locking on to it and summoning him. |
| 8 | Enter the church and head right to find a red chest with a key. Take out the enemies here as well. |
| 9 | Follow the quest marker and prepare to battle Naglfar Cypher. |
| 10 | After defeating the boss, open the white chest to get Baleyg (weapon). Then, purify the three Soul Trees near the area. |
| 11 | From here, you will need to find the required items by concentrating and following the butterflies again. You will need to get Slave Clothes, Friendship Hair Ornament, Old Abacus. |
| 12 | Once you have obtained two of the required items, follow the butterflies again. When you reach the locked doors, open them using the Side Entrance Key from the red chest on the left. |
| 13 | Follow the butterflies again along the side entrance. Pick up the Pandemic Medicine to be transported to the Merchant’s Soul Prison. |
| 14 | Proceed further through the prison and pick up the Old Abacus to recruit Cypher. |
| 15 | Afterwards, open the nearby chest to get Grave Edge II (Divine Art scroll). |
| 16 | Return to Valhalla by touching the beam of light. |

Boss Strategy Guide
Naglfar Cypher
The boss is weak against the Fire element so use Fire Storm I to build up the enemy’s crush gauge. As usual, summon Eygon to distract the boss while you aim for jump attacks on the boss’ head (weak point).
