In Valkyrie Elysium, Weapon Proficiency is your level of familiarity with various weapons which goes up as you use it in battle. Your proficiency level is indicated by a letter ranging from G (the lowest) to SSS (the highest) and can be viewed from the Equip or Weapon Enhancement menu (Storage Camp).

As mentioned, you simply have to use a weapon in battle as often as possible to increase your proficiency with it. The best way to do this is to repeatedly run quests and defeat enemies to earn weapon experience points. The difficulty of a quest does not have affect how much weapon EXP you earn so try to do a mission that you can complete without much trouble.

Among the fastest methods to farm weapon EXP is to do the My Birth Town subquest which features waves of enemies to take down. The quest is also fairly easy so you can grind weapon EXP quickly by clearing it multiple times.
