Prologue Main Story Walkthrough
Midgard
| 1 | After the opening cutscene, move toward the bridge. |

| 2 | Touch the golden crystal with L2. |
| 3 | Use Soul Chain (L2) to move across the gap of the broken bridge. |
| 4 | Touch the next golden crystal. |
| 5 | Defeat the enemies the enemies in the combat tutorial. |
| 6 | Use Soul Chain to reach next yellow marker above the cliff. |
| 7 | Head for the next golden crystal ahead. Then, defeat the enemies by summoning Einherjar. Press R1 + Triangle to summon Eygon and R1 + Circle to summon Cypher. |
| 8 | Touch the golden crystal again. Then, defeat the enemies using the Lightning Bolt I (R2 + Triangle). |
| 9 | Go up the stairs. When you reach the gap, summon Cypher (R1 + Circle) to create an ice platform that will allow you to go over it. |
| 10 | Head for the next yellow marker and touch the golden crystal. Then, defeat the enemies that appear by switching between Eygon and Cypher’s elemental enhancements to exploit enemy weakness. |
| 11 | Touch the golden crystal again and defeat the enemies by taking advantage of Elemental Blight and Elemental Crush State (use Lighting Bolt I). |
| 12 | Head for next yellow marker. Then, lock-on to the boulder and summon Eygon (R1 + Triangle) to destroy it. |
| 13 | Open the chest to get Magic Gem x10 (used for weapon enhancement). Then, go up the stairs. |
| 14 | Follow the yellow marker again and go up the slope. Summon Eygon again to destroy the boulder at the temple entrance. |
| 15 | Go inside and use Soul Chain to go up to the upper level. |
| 16 | Go up the stairs and enter the room ahead. Then, defeat the enemies that appear. Defeat the flame-type monsters by summoning Cypher to exploit their elemental weakness to ice. |
| 17 | Go up the next set of stairs to the next room and defeat more enemies there. Try to take out the archers on the upper ledges first before dealing with the fighters. |
| 18 | After defeating the enemies, follow the yellow marker going out of the temple. |
| 19 | When you reach the wide gap, use Cypher (R1 + Circle) to create an ice platform to help you across. |
| 20 | Move along the wooden walkway and jump down. Then, continue following the yellow marker. |
| 21 | Defeat the enemies that appear and head for the yellow marker again. |
| 22 | When you come up to the dragon, destroy its tail to stun it. Summon Eygon and Cypher to distract the enemy as you try to strike it from the rear. |
| 23 | Another dragon will appear so take it down with the same tactic as well. |
| 24 | Follow the yellow marker again and defeat the enemies that appear. |
| 25 | Head for the blue light at the shrine and press L2. |
| 26 | Prepare to battle the Giant (boss). |
| 27 | After defeating the boss, open the chest to get Magic Gem x10. |
| 28 | Approach the blue light and press L2 to return to Valhalla. |
Valhalla
| 1 | Talk to Odin. |

| 2 | From here, feel free to approach the Camp Storage outside the hall to save or enhance your weapon using materials you obtained in the tutorial. You can now also open the Valkyrie skills menu to unlock abilities from the Attack, Defend, and Support trees. |
| 3 | Approach the Astral Globe and press L2 to begin the next main story chapter. |
Boss Strategy Guide
Giant
The boss is weak against lightning so summoning Eygon is recommended for this fight. The boss attacks are quite telegraphed so just dodge away or guard when he prepares to slam his sword down onto the ground. He will also occasionally do leg stomps that generate wide shockwaves which can also be blocked or evaded.
The boss can perform a grab attack that cannot be blocked. Run away or dodge when you see him glow with red energy to avoid taking heavy damage. Lastly, the boss has a running attack that goes in a straight line so dash to the side to make him miss.
When the boss is under Elemental Crush State, spam Lightning Bolt to stack even more damage. Repeat the process until he is defeated.
