Main Quest Walkthrough

Wait for Matt’s summons – Meet with Jack and Juan at the Fish Eye

1 Rest at a safe zone and listen to Matt on the radio.
2 Head to Fish Eye canteen and talk to the Peacekeeper member in front of the stairs.
3 Listen to the plan.
4 Listen to Lawan. Afterwards, follow the quest marker outside the canteen and talk to her. Then, choose whether to take the tower or ask Frank first.
5 If you choose to talk to Frank, head to the marked location at the Fish Eye and speak with Frank.
6 Head to the VNC tower and talk to Rowe.

Find out what is going on in the electrical substation – Eliminate the Renegades

1 Listen to Rowe on the radio. Then, head for the quest marker leading to Garrison Electrical Station.
2 Take out the Renegades at the station. Afterwards, go left and go through the opening with the containers slightly covering the path.

Get the substation running

1 Head for the quest marker and read the tutorial on multi-function generators.
2 Approach the multi-function A-B generator on the left and pull out the cable. Then, plug it in the A generator to the left of the door. Press the button on the right to open it.
3 Then, plug the cable from the A-B generator in the previous room and plug it to the B generator on the right of the room before the next locked door.
4 Push the door to go in the next room.
5 Go up the stairs ahead all the way to the third level. As you come up the stairs, turn left and move forward to a hatch with a yellow pipe. Drop down and cling to platform as you descend to the second level. Move forward to find 1-C generator on your left. Ignore it first and open the gate ahead.
6 Then, pull the cable from the 1-C generator and jump down into the middle of the ground floor. Then, climb up the ledge on the opposite side of to find a room with the C generator to plug in the cable.
7 Exit the room and go left to open the large C door that is now powered.
8 Inside the room is the 2 generator. Pull out the cable and jump down to the ground floor. Head down to the basement to find another 2 generator to power and attach the plug. Then, hurry back to the stairs as the floor will start sparking with electricity.
9 Head up the second level again and pull out the cable from the 1-C generator. Jump down to the middle of the ground level again and attach the plug to the 1 generator up the raised platform in the middle.
10 Afterwards, follow the quest marker to the elevator on the right corner of the ground level.
11 Use the elevator to go up to the fifth level.
12 Get off the elevator and follow the quest marker to the control panel. Turn it on.

Eliminate the Renegades – Talk to Rowe at the VNC Tower

1 Kill off the Renegades in the room. Then, approach the control panel again and decide whether to assign the Garrison Electrical Station to the Peacekeepers or Survivors.
2 Head to the VNC tower to meet Rowe.

Enter the elevator – Go to the other tower

1 Follow the quest marker to the elevator and talk to Wierzbowski.
2 Climb up the elevator shaft to opening above. Then, follow the quest marker again.
3 After passing through the large hall and squeezing through a small opening, Rowe will call you.

Go to the power distribution room

1 Head down to the lower area with the group of Infected blocking the door. Instead of going through the door, climb up the vent on the upper right of the area.
2 Follow the path through the vent until you are able to drop down inside the locked room through the vent exit on the left.
3 Talk to Leon sitting by the door. Afterwards, talk to Rowe on the radio.

Restore the power – Check the Fuses

1 Exit the room through the door behind Leon.
2 Follow the quest marker again and kill Infected Chris. Then, turn the power on.
3 Follow the quest marker to the fuse boxes positioned around the area. Infected will be roaming nearby so be prepared to take them out.

Switch the power on – Contact Rowe – Return to Leon

1 Head back to the power controls and turn it on again.
2 Listen to Rowe.
3 Head back to Leon in the previous room to find him gone.

Pull the cable through the basement

1 Follow the quest marker to the A generator and pull the cable out.
2 Head down the stairs to the basement. Approach another A generator and plug the cable in. Afterwards, go through the gate by pressing the button.
3 Head inside the next room to find the B generator. Instead of pulling out the cable, go down another set of stairs to a submerged area.
4 Move forward and swim to the closed gate. Then, turn left and make your way through to the right. From there, swim forward. You can come up for air by heading for the space up the ceiling to your left.
5 When you are ready to move further, swim to the right until you reach the other side of the gate. Approach it and open it to give you a clear path between the first and second generator. If you need to replenish your oxygen again, look to your right to find some space ahead.
6 Backtrack to the first B generator. Pull the cable from it and swim straight ahead through the opened gate. When you resurface on the other side, plug the cable to the second B generator.
7 Listen to Rowe on the radio.

Meet Rowe at the camp on the 8th floor – Wait with the squad until Matt arrives

1 Follow the quest marker to the elevator and go up to the 8th floor.
2 Step off the elevator and talk to Rowe.
3 Read the tutorial on GRE detectors. Listen to Rowe again.
Head for the quest marker again and talk listen to the Peacekeeper members.

Talk to Matt

1 Follow the quest marker and talk to Matt.
2 Watch the cutscene.

Check for survivors – Kill the Infected

1 Head toward the area where you last saw Rowe and the squad and take out the Infected there. Keep moving and watch out for the Goons and the enemies peppering you from afar.
2 After clearing out the enemies, head for the marked location while checking on the bodies of Rowe’s squad.
3 Listen to Matt on the radio.

Find Rowe and get the transmitter – Find a way out

1 Nearby are some footprints that lead to a room blocked by a wooden board. Follow it to find Rowe inside.
2 Listen to Lawan on the radio. Afterwards, follow the quest marker.

Survive until Lawan finds Frank

1 You will then need to fend off Infected in the area until Lawan and Frank can reach you.
2 While it may seem daunting, you will temporarily be able to tap into your powers to quickly take out the enemies swarming you. Just kill off as many as you can until the cutscene.

Find the Nightrunner equipment

1 Follow the quest marker by moving to the left. Climb up the stacks of boxes to reach the ledge ahead.
2 Force the elevator door on the left to open. Then, head up the hatch and grab the Grappling Hook on the wall (marked by the yellow paint).

Use the grappling hook to get out of the room

1 Grapple to the fixture directly above you and swing to the hole across.
2 Keep heading for the quest marker using the grappling hook to swing across.

Reach the top of the VNC Tower – Get to the roof

1 Continue following the quest marker. Move the wooden board out of the way to let you go in the next room.
2 The gap ahead requires you to grapple twice to reach the other side. After latching on to the first fixture, jump and grapple to the next one to make it across.
3 Move forward and go up the stairs. Continue following the quest marker until you are finally outside.
4 The way to the top of the VNC tower is pretty easy. After climbing up the flight of stairs leading outside the building again, look to your right for a GRE crate to get Inhibitor x3.

Find a way back to the main building – Reach the top of the VNC tower

1 After talking to Frank, go up near the crane and activate it using the generator.
2 This will allow you to grapple to the suspended beam across the gap. Aim the grappling hook and swing across to the VNC tower.
3 Move forward and climb the metal grill on your right. Then, turn around and grapple onto the steel beam ahead to go across to the ledge with the yellow cloth.
4 Climb the ladder on your right and onto the steal beam. Move across and grapple to the fixture on another beam above. Turn around again and jump to the beam above.
5 Walk across to the right on the beam and grapple to the fixture above to reach the ladder on the wall ahead.
6 Turn left and go through the door. Follow the path out into the open again. From there, jump across to the beam on your left. Then, jump to the grill on your right and climb up.
7 Turn around again and grapple to the fixture ahead. Try to gain some momentum while hanging and grapple again to another fixture in front of you. Finally, swing to the ledge across.
8 Climb up the ledge marked by the yellow cloth and jump down on the suspended beam of the next area below.
9 Jump to the opening on the left and turn left again to find another suspended beam you must jump across to.
10 Jump to the other side and run all the way to the end of the corridor. To your right is another suspended beam to jump over to and cross.
11 Once you are outside again, climb the ladder on your left. At the top (while still clinging on), turn around and grapple to the fixture on the beam above. Swing to the ledge ahead.
12 Walk a few ways forward and face the gap again. Grapple across to the next ledge ahead. Continue this slow ascent upwards by latching onto the fixtures.
13 Once you enter the building, go up the stairs and follow the linear path.
14 When you arrive outside the building again, head left and walk on the planks going to beams again. Before you continue going up using the grappling hook, kick down the ladder nearby.
15 You will eventually be back inside the building (yet again) when you climb up the ledge. Follow the path ahead and you will be outside again on the scaffoldings.
16 Grapple to the fixture above and swing across to the next scaffolding. Keep moving around the outer perimeter of the building, using the grappling hook if you need to.
17 When you reach the roof (incline), make your way to the left and latch onto the fixtures to avoid slipping down. After a lengthy climb, you will eventually reach the broadcast antenna.

Turn on the transmitter and mount the device

1 Climb up the to the antenna and kick down the ladder. Continue going up through another series of ladders climb up the pole. Then, jump over to the platform above and place the device on the transmitter.
2 You must then decide to give control of the transmitter to either Jack Matt or Frank.
