Is Cross-Play Supported in Dying Light 2 Stay Human?
May Come in a Future Update (Post-Launch)
Dying Light 2 Stay Human’s will allow up to four players to engage in online co-op sessions and is even a requirement for obtaining all trophies and achievements in the game. The title, however, will not support cross-play at launch on February 4th. Despite this, the feature may become available in a future update as developer Techland has promised to implement post-launch content for five years.
This means that players on Microsoft Windows (PC), Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Playstation 4, Playstation 5, and Nintendo Switch will only be able to set-up co-op with other people on the same platform. Cross-play, meanwhile, is enabled for users on Steam and Epic Games Store on Day 1.
When will Cross-Play Be Implemented?
As mentioned, Techland has not officially confirmed if cross-play will be added to the game, let alone a specific date on when it will arrive in the future.
Dying Light 2 Stay Human is set for release on February 4th, 2022 on the Microsoft Windows (PC), Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Playstation 4, Playstation 5. The Nintendo Switch version, meanwhile, has been delayed and is expected to come out six months after the title’s launch on other platforms.
