Stealing the Past Sidequest Guide

After completing the main storyline and unlocking the Regalia Type-F, the sidequest Stealing the Past will be available. Head to Lestallum’s easternmost back alley at night time (between 21:00 and 05:00). Listen to the conversation of two thieves through a window near the area.
This will allow you to obtain additional information at Verinas Mart – Ravatogh by talking to the local tipster there.
A new quest destination will be marked on your map.
From Verinas Mart, head northwest aboard the Regalia Type-F and land in the volcanic area shown below. During low-altitude flight, you will spot a dirt path that looks like a short landing track. It’s easier to find this spot during the day.
Following the path on foot, make your way to the Pitioss Ruins dungeon entrance and interact with the crate on the right. Be reminded that you can only enter the dungeon at night. You will receive a Magitek Core and 50,000 EXP for completing this quest. There won’t be enemies in the dungeon, through the area is the hardest maze in the game.
The dungeon poses a very difficult challenge for players by testing their navigational and platforming skills. There are also pitfalls and traps (such as falling boulders and spikes) in the area that will test your timing and reaction to the environment. There are also puzzles to solve as you go along in the dungeon.
Since the dungeon is quite elaborate and complex, we will be uploading a video guide on how to tackle the dungeon in detail. Please check back regularly until the video is available.
