Beruka is one of Camilla‘s loyal retainers. In Fire Emblem Fates, she works alongside Selena to protect the princess of Nohr. Similar to Camilla, she also rides a wyvern and wields an axe. In Fire Emblem Heroes, she’s a Green/Axe flier unit.
Stats
Beruka, as a flier unit, can cross terrains. As an axe, she can be quite useful. However, Beruka appears to be more a Def Tank than a Res Tank. With her current set of abilities, she can also slowly tank physical damage which may be useful against Archers. However, Beruka’s Res leaves her open for Red Tomes which may be detrimental against a Tome-Based team.

Strategy
Beruka’s axe in itself isn’t really useful. What she can inherit instead is either Brave Axe+ or Emerald Axe+. However, Beruka can also utilize Hammer as she can somewhat soak up the damage coming from the tanks. While Emerald Axe+ has a built-in Triangle Adept, Brave Axe can give Beruka more steady damage but at the cost of her speed. Hammer might be better for her as it means she can now fight Armored Units while matching their defense.
As she’s a more defensive hero, Ignis or Bonfire will work best for her. Moonbow may also be a viable option but Bonfire’s easier to gain from other lower heroes. Beruka is similar to Michalis, having only slightly lower stats. However, she can use one of his abilities, Iote’s Shield, to remove the super-effective damage from Archers. Beruka can also utilize Death Blow which increases her attack easily. Fury may work but may require a pocket healer in order to keep Beruka alive.
Counter
- Takumi – Takumi, as an archer, can outstrip the wyvern rider. His distant counter also allows him to damage Beruka even at close range.
- Virion – Virion has Seal Spd which can prevent Beruka from inflicting double damage. However, this is quite hard to counter if Beruka uses the Brave Axe+ build. But also has Astra with his Silver Bow being effective against fliers.
- Jeorge – Jeorge falls a few points short behind Takumi but has Seal Speed to seal off her double hits. As an archer, Jeorge‘s weapon can deal heavier damage to the wyvern rider.
