Stats

Initial Stats

Star Ranking HP ATK DEF RES SPD
☆☆☆ 18~20 8~10 6~8 1~3 4~6
☆☆☆☆ 18~20 9~11 7~9 1~3 4~6
☆☆☆☆☆ 19~21 9~11 7~9 2~4 5~7

Cherche is a glasscannon flier due to her extremely low Resistance, however with the right Skills investment she can deal some savage Attacks due to her significant base Attack stat. However she is left vulnerable due to her terrible speed which falls below 30, exposing her to most double attacks. If there are no Singer/Dancer threats and if she can make herself elusive from enemy’s ranges, she can employ a hit-and-run tactic to whittle down the enemy brigade.

Strategy

Cherche is a flying unit bestowed with an enormous Attack stat however this comes at the expense of her abysmal Speed and paper thin Resistance. Her default kit is lacking inhibiting her from capitalizing on what she does best as an offensive type unit.

Prior to Skill inheritance, she is forced to run the inferior Hammer+, but with the update she became a formidable unit thanks to inheriting Brave Axe+. She runs Brave Axe+ excellently due to her trait as a Flier. Unlike cavalry units, this enables her to transport to long distances without being bothered by obstructions.

The key to building Cherche is to have access to multiple Skills to pass from other units. Preferably, she needs to be built from the ground up to bolster her Attack. Passives like Death Blow 3, Drag Back or Hit and Run, and Goad Fliers will all give Cherche offense while doubling as a support. At the same time, it gives her some breathing room each time she inflicts an attack for some sustainability.

Her drawback however is her Speed and Resistance, making her an easy target to Archers and Tome units.

Cherche is suitable in Flier teams to which she could pass her Goad Fliers inherited Skill. Examples include Shanna who covers her Red Tome weakness as she sports high Res and Speed. Whereas, she appreciates Cherche’s neutral color matchup against opposing Green Attack-based units through her Def and Attack stats in return. Caeda is also decent since she also checks Tome units while spreading Hone Flier buffs in return.

In addition, Cherche can also function as an offensive hero alongside other non-flier units such as Dancers/ Singers to reach even farther tiles and ORKO enemies before they have the chance to fell her.

Counter

  • Cherche may have a massive attack stat, unfortunately it has its flaws due to her typing. To stop her tracks requires pitting her against Red units that have a high amount of Defense and Attack. The former allowing them to sponge her hits if she manages to approach during her phase, and the latter to retaliate without risking that she gets away to prey on other units.
  • Xander – Despite Cherche’s savage attack, Xander rivals it with his superior Defense stat. In addition his color advantage and added mobility due to cavalry helps him to easily catch up on Cherche.
  • Zephiel – Another high Defense, high Attack red unit. Though he only has 1 tile of movement, you could make a case for his weapon to lower Cherche’s attacks and packs Wary Fighter 3 to stop her from punishing him with double attacks.
  • Eldigan – Sharing the same trait as Xander’s mobility while having the same Mt as Zephiel’s weapon, he can easily sponge attacks thanks to both his high Defense and Attack stats.
