Subaki is a Pegasus Knight that made his appearance in Fire Emblem: Fates. In Fire Emblem: Heroes, he retains true to his class and profession and rides a Pegasus. Because he was one of the nobles of Hoshido, he was assigned as one of the retainers of Princess Sakura. Subaki is also a member of one of the most loyal noble families in Hoshido.

Stats

At Level 1, Subaki is already considered extremely mobile and can inflict tons of damage. This is because of his high base speed which  gives him a chance to attack twice in a row. Because he’s also a Blue, he can deal heavy damage to Reds. Most especially swordsmen. What gives him an advantage  is also the fact that he can cross any terrain due to him being a Pegasus Knight.

Strategy

Subaki is an all-around tank with an inherent Triangle Adept which is in his Sapphire Lance. However, this may gave him a disadvantage in the long run especially when he’s the remaining ally on the field. Subaki is capable of taking in a lot of damage most especially due to his high RES. However, this often doesn’t appear in the first few rarities but at the higher rarities. He’s an excellent early-game Pegasus flier due to his ability to almost 100% of the time deal two hits in a single turn.

Subaki is someone you would want to either increase his DPT (Damage Per Turn) as a means to compliment his speed. Or, pair him up with someone who grants additional RES. Some of these units can be another Subaki, who has Fortify RES. Maria, a healer, also has Fortify Res which can help Subaki soak up some damage while she heals him.

To prevent him from dying quickly against Archers like Virion, Jeorge, and Takumi, Subaki can try using Holy Vestments. Holy Vestments only takes three turns to charge with it reducing damage from foes that are 2 spaces away. With the damage drop at 30%, Subaki can withstand incoming damage from Green Tomes like Nino and Cecilia or from archers like Virion, Jeorge, and Takumi.

Counter

• Virion – If Virion has Silver Bow+ and Astra, he can one-shot him due to his affinity towards flying units. However, if Subaki has Holy Vestments, he can withstand the damage. As long as he stays 1-2 spaces away, Subaki can withstand the damage using Holy Vestments. However, Virion using Astra with additional Spd and ATK buffs may change that.
• Takumi – As the strongest of the colorless bows, he can easily seal his speed and deal heavy damage with his already high ATK.
• Hektor – Despite him being armored, Hektor still has distant counter. His high HP prevents him from being knocked over easy. His being a Green Axe unit as well gives him an advantage over Subaki who has no armor break whatsoever, making him vulnerable.
• Camilla – As a Green Axe, she already has some form of affinity against him. His Sapphire Lance+ also forces him to take more damage from her. As is, she already has Brave Axe+ that despite lowering her speed grants a double hit. If she has increased Spd then, she could easily one-shot him using her four hits.
• Jeorge – Jeorge, as an archer, is already deadly to Subaki. He can also seal Subaki’s already low ATK.
