Recommended Equipment to Make at The Lab

Rush Boots	Increases movement speed.
Description	The faster you go, the more you explore! Isn’t that right? It’ll take everything they have for the Pikmin to keep up with you!
Homesick Signal	Allows you to call idle Pikmin.
Description	When your Pikmin go missing, call them back to the S.S. Beagle! This works on any Pikmin not currently in your squad.
Charging Horn	Allows you to order all Pikmin to perform Rush.
Description	Press X, and this horn will order selected Pikmin to charge! Press repeatedly to change with entire squad.

It is highly recommended to craft the Rush Boots and Homesick Signal as pairing these two pieces of gear will make it significantly easier to gather Pikmin throughout the game. This saves you a lot of time to make the most out of exploring during each day.

Charging Horn for taking down enemies with a powerful all-party Rush.

Charging Horn, meanwhile, will allow you to take down enemies or obstacles faster by ordering all Pikmin in your party to perform Rush. The Charging Horn becomes increasingly useful as you encounter tougher enemy protists and hostile plant creatures in the later areas of the game.

How to Craft Gear

Rescue Russ at the first cave you enter in Sun-Speckled Terrace to unlock The Lab.

Crafting is unlocked after you rescue Russ in the first underground cave you explore in Sun-Speckled Terrace. Once Russ is taken to the Rescue Command Post, he will set up The Lab there which will let you craft items using Raw Materials.
