Picnics is a returning feature in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. It allows player to spend some leisure time with your Pokémon, you can decorate around the picnic area and have a fun time while taking a break from the game’s main story. Customize your Picnic Layout

You can get to be creative by choosing a design and re-decorating your picnic field area into your liking. Players get to choose tablecloths, cups, and other items for your picnic.

You may acquire and purchase the tablecloths and decoration from the shop called, Picnic-Knacks which is located at the city of Mesagoza. There are also a lot of shops where you can get other picnic essentials, below is the list of all shop names:

Another feature that you can do after setting up your picnic area is to make your own sandwich. Players get to choose the ingredients and condiments for the meal, it’s like a mini-game where you get to showcase your cooking skills.

Your Pokémon gets to eat the sandwich that you just made, the meal you’ll give them can help your Pokémon’s HP be restored and it also grants some bonuses that can help you in battle and during adventure.

Another way to enjoy your Picnic is to invite and play together with your friends through the Union Circle. You may take a group photo and make sandwiches together to have a more fun experience with this feature.

NOTE: In order to have picnics with other players via the internet or local communication, you may need to have the latest version of the game installed. Nintendo Switch Online membership is required to have picnics with other players using the internet.

  1. where do we buy the decorations, it feels like that should have been pointed out here. I can’t find a single google search saying which shop sells the decorations. all I find is real-life picnic stuff pokemon themed.

    • picnic-knacks, the icon on the map is a bag. idk abt other cities but i know its in mesagosa 🙂 u can get cups, bottles, balls, and tablecloths.

    • You buy decorations at Picnic-Knacks. There’s one in Mesagoza, one in Cascarrafa, and one in Levincia. However, you currently can’t obtain all the decorations. The B&W Grass Tablecloth, the Slowpoke Cup, and all the dishes besides green are currently unavailable. No one seems to know how to get them right now.
