Post-Game Unlockables Guide for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
This page contains a guide on all post-game unlockables in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (Pokemon SV), including new Pokemon, items, areas, events, features, and content that become accessible after clearing the main story.
The Ending is Not Triggered After Victory Road.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s main story does not end when you have attained League Champion status in the Paldea Region. After defeating the Elite Four, you will need to clear three more story sub-sections which are the Legend, Starfall Street, and Homeway routes. The last sub-section requires you to clear the game’s final area called Area Zero.

Master Ball
After you clear the game’s main story, visit Clavell at his Academy office to get the Master Ball from him as a reward. The Master Ball is the best Poke Ball in the game, allowing you to catch any Pokemon with 100% success. This will be useful when catching another flagship Legendary (non-ride version) when you revisit Area Zero later.
IV Check Feature (Judge Function)
The IV check feature or “Judge Function” which allows you to view your Pokemon’s Individual Values is also unlocked after you beat the game. Head to any Pokemon Center to see your Pokemon’s highest IV (indicated by the “V”) and those that are one step short of the highest (indicated by the “U”).
Area Zero Free Exploration
Prior to clearing the main story, Area Zero cannot be freely explored. Clearing the game, however, lets you return to the location while riding Koraidon/Miraidon to find new Pokemon and obtain useful items.
More Paradox Form Pokemon Appear
Clearing the game causes more Paradox Form Pokemon to appear throughout the various biomes of Area Zero, allowing you to catch them and register them to your Pokedex.
Different Paradox Pokemon appear in each version of the game so you will need to trade with other players online to obtain them all.
Flagship Legendary (Non-Ride Legendary)
After viewing the ending, you can return to Area Zero’s deepest section (The Great Crater of Paldea) again to find another flagship Legendary of your game version waiting for you. Approach it to battle and catch it. Note that the flagship Legendary you encounter here is not the same as your Legendary ride.
How to Get All Legendary Pokemon
Koraidon/Miraidon Form Change
Clearing the main story also unlocks the flagship Legendary’s form change ability. Select either Koraidon or Miraidon from the main menu to freely switch between Battle Form and Ride Form.
5★ and 6★ Tera Raid Battles
High-level Tera Raid Battles (5★ and 6★ difficulty) also become available once you beat the game. These feature wild Terastal Pokemon who are at level 75 so assembling a competent team of Trainers is required to defeat them within the time limit. Rare items such as Ability Capsules, Bottle Caps, and various Mints can be obtained as rewards from these post-game raids.
5★ Tera Raids will start appearing around the region once you continue the game after viewing the credits. 6★ Tera Raids, meanwhile, only become available after progressing through the Academy Ace Tournament post-game battles.
Tera Raid Battles Rewards List
Academy Ace Tournament
Clearing the main story also unlocks the Academy Ace Tournament that lets you rematch familiar rivals like fellow students and Gym Leaders at their full strength. You can also challenge some of the Academy’s staff and teachers who are all set to give you a real challenge.
Clearing battles at the Academy Ace Tournament unlock 6★ Tera Raid Battles which feature the hardest raids in the game.
Team Star Training Center
The Star Training Center also becomes accessible after beating the game. This extra section of the Pokemon League allows you to battle Team Star’s bosses again at their full strength, similar to the Academy Ace Tournament.
The Team Star Training Center rewards you with hefty sums of money for beating Team Star bosses which can be a good method for farming money in the game.
Shiny Charm (After Completing the Paldea Pokedex)
The Shiny Charm, a key item that increases the chances of encountering Shiny Pokemon, is given by Professor Jacq after you beat the game and catch all 400 Pokemon in the Paldea Pokedex. To achieve this feat, you will need to trade with other players online as it is impossible to encounter all Pokemon in the Paldea Pokedex in just one version of the game.
Currently doing post game content. I hope the dev’s patch the save data deletion bug, im alittle skeptical or apprehensive about playing in fear my save file might get deleted.
