Splatoon 3 - The Crater Walkthrough

Walkthrough and guide for The Crater in Splatoon 3, including a breakdown of obtainable items and Octarian Crater battle stage strategies.

The Crater Walkthrough in Splatoon 3

1	Enter the manhole on the west side where Cuttflefish is located.
2	After talking to Cuttlefish, follow the path until your reach a dead end.
3	Go east and remove the cover of the first kettle. Enter the hole.

1	Follow the instructions and take out the balloons and crates.
2	Ink the pillars in order to climb upwards and hit the elevated balloons and crates.
3	Reach the end and use the launchpad to hop to another area.
4	Take out more balloons and crates again. Also, ink the balloon fishes above you.
5	Look for the west and east splat switches. Hit them and toss an ink bomb to hit farther crates.
6	Go forward and hit the north splat switch. Defeat the Octotrooper.
7	After that, move forward and rescue the first Zap Fish by hitting the force field. This will clear stage 1.

1	Return to Camp Cuttle. Take out the blocking Fuzzy Ooze using a Small Fry.
2	Keep going and take out more Fuzzy Oozes blocking your way.
3	Hit the loot anchor near the second slide to acquire a decoration item.
4	Go east and downward. Remove the cover of the second kettle. Enter the hole.

1	Go forward and make use of the launchpad.
2	Reach another area and take bloop into the ink.
3	Follow the ink trail by swimming and jump over loops and obstacles.
4	Make use of dash tracks to reach other areas.
5	Keep going the reach the top section of the area.
6	When you reach a spot with a brick wall, take a stop and climb through the wall using your ink.
7	Reach the top and defeat the Octotrooper.
8	Rescue the second Zap Fish by hitting the force field. This will clear stage 2.

1	Return to Camp Cuttle again.
2	Take out the blocking Fuzzy Ooze using a Small Fry.
3	Make your way downward and remove the cover of the third kettle. Enter the hole.

1	Go forward and take out the crates in order to find a key.
2	Use the key and unlock the vault.
3	Shoot ink to the inkrail and hop in it. You will on the center platform.
4	After landing, shoot ink to the west inkrail and hop inside to reach the west platform.
5	Defeat the Octotrooper. Use another inkrail and return to the center platform.
6	Use Small Fry and shoot the east inkrail and reach the east platform. Make use of another inkrail inside the east platform to reach the top.
7	Command Small Fry to target the inkrail on the top. Ride in it to reach the top of the center platform.
8	Get the key from a crate and unlock the inkrail below it.
9	After that, moves straight and rescue the third Zap Fish by hitting the force field. This will clear stage 3.

1	Return to Camp Cuttle.
2	Drop down and hit another loot anchor to acquire a pack of cards.
3	Jump down and carefully land at a spot without a fuzzy ooze.
4	Destroy the core of the Fuzzy Ooze in front of you.
5	Remove the cover of the fourth kettle. Enter the hole.

1	Go forward and take out the crates in front of you.
2	Defeat the multiple Octotroopers guarding your path.
3	Make use of Splashdown to eliminate multiple Octotroopers in the area with large blocks.
4	Look down and district the four Octotroopers using Small Fry. Then, take them out.
5	Activate the pillar at the center and go upward.
6	Go straight and clear the area from other Octotroopers. Then, activate the pillars again.
7	Head upward and defeat another wave of enemies. Then, rescue the fourth and last Zap Fish by hitting the force field. This will clear stage 4.

1	Return to Camp Cuttle for the last time.
2	Destroy the Fuzzball in front of you.
3	Watch a cutscene.
4	Defeat DJ Octavio by hitting its arm attacks and avoiding its AoE damage. Make it a point to splash the floor with your own ink.
5	Target its Ink Vac aftewards and throw Small Fry.
6	Repeat the same strategy until the boss is defeated.
