Turf War Guide for Splatoon 3
What is Turf War?
Turf War is an online co-op game mode in Splatoon 3. A team of four players is formed to cover the area with their assigned team ink color and they need to mark the turf with ink.
4v4 Battle – 3-minute Game
This game mode is available in the following Multiplayer Modes: Regular Battles, Private Battles, and Splatfest Battles. It’s a 4v4 battle and the goal is to Ink the most turf to win within 3 minutes.
Turf War Mechanics
Utilize Squid Surge and Squid Roll
Use your advance movements such as the Squid Surge and Squid Roll to move faster and inking more areas. You can also use this movements to easily dodge the enemies’ ink.

Walls doesn’t count
You just need to focus on inking the ground as the vertical walls and walls are not counted as a territory point. However, you can also use the walls to move faster by using jump and other movement abilities.
Splat on Enemies
Players can not only ink the ground and walls, they can also ink on their opponents! Once you have hit an enemy with the paint, they will be down for a while and it will make your team into an advantage whenever your opponents are down.
Use your Best Weapon
Another tip on winning this game mode is to use your best weapon in the game. You can use any weapons available and you may pick out the best and strongest that you can use in the game. We also have a guide about the best weapons and weapon tier list that may help you choose which ones to use.
