Expansion Pass Guide for Xenoblade Chronicles 3
Xenoblade Chronicles 3‘s Expansion Pass will add several new content to the base game, including new game modes, character outfits, and playable characters.
Upcoming features from the paid add-on pack are set to be released in four DLC waves which are detailed in this article. The Xenoblade Chronicle 3 Expansion pass goes for 29.99 USD and is available for pre-order from the Nintendo e-Shop and official website.
How to Access Expansion Pass DLCs
Note that a copy of the base game (either physical or digital) is required to access all additional in-game DLC in the update pack.
Some features such as new playable characters, quests, and story scenarios may also only become available after reaching certain points in the game. Information on these will be added when they are confirmed from official sources.
DLC Wave 1
DLC Wave 1 is due for release on July 29th, 2022, the same day the game launches worldwide. Included in the first DLC are a collection of helpful in-game items and color variations for character outfits in the base game.

DLC Wave 2
DLC Wave 2 will be available on December 31st, 2022 and will add a Challenge Battle mode against difficult enemies, a new playable character and their accompanying quests, and new character outfits.
DLC Wave 3
DLC Wave 3 is set for launch on April 30th, 2023. As with the previous DLC, this update will add a new Challenge Battle mode against difficult enemies, another playable character and their accompanying quests, and even more character outfits.
DLC Wave 4
Lastly, DLC Wave 4 will be released on December 31st, 2023 and will add a new original story scenario to the base game.
