New Game Plus Guide (NG+) for Xenoblade Chronicles 3
After clearing the main story of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 (XC 3) for the first time on any difficulty, New Game Plus (New Game+) will be unlocked in the home screen. This mode allows you to play through the game again from the beginning with many elements from your previous playthrough carried over.

How to Start New Game+
You can access New Game+ after viewing the game’s ending and credits. Simply select NEW GAME+ from the start screen to begin your new run of the main story.
Things Carried Over in New Game+
Below are elements that are carried over in New Game+ and those that are not carried over (or reset) upon starting a second playthrough.
What Carries Over to New Game+?
- Character Levels
- Equipment and Items
- Arts
- Money (Gold)
- Nopon Coins
What Does Not Carry Over to New Game+?
- Chain Attacks (must be acquired again through the main story)
- Interlink Fusions (must be acquired again through the main story)
- Tutorials
- Origin Fragments
- Advanced Secrets
- Map Data and Landmarks
- Unique Monsters Slain (all respawn in New Game+ which essentially allows you to hunt them again throughout the main story)
What to Do in New Game+
Aim for 100% Completion
Playing through New Game+ allows you to essentially go for 100% completion of the game by collecting all items (weapons and accessories), unlocking all abilities from the Interlink Fusion soul tree, clearing all Standard and Hero side quests, and hunting unique monsters you have not yet defeated on your previous run (or finding and defeating them again since they will all respawn in each subsequent playthrough of the game).
