Gold Farming Guide for Dragon’s Dogma 2
Best Ways to Earn Money Fast
Clear quests.
One of the best way to earn gold fast in Dragon’s Dogma 2 is to clear main quests and side quests. Even in the game’s early stages, you can earn around 1,000 G (more or less) from clearing a single quest which is fairly decent to be able to purchase new equipment and items from shops.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 Main Quests List and Guide
You are also rewarded with a good amount of useful gear, items, and even new vocations for clearing certain optional quests in the game. Because of this, try going around various locations to find any side quests to do before progressing with the main story.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 Side Quests List and Guide
Help NPCs being attacked by enemies.
As you explore the game’s open world, you will occasionally come across NPCs being attacked by monsters. During these random events, it is recommended to put aside any of you current objectives to help the person in need. Once you have vanquished the beasts attacking an NPC, they will reward you with a hefty sum that is usually upwards of 1,000 G.
Sell equipment and loot you do not need.
Excess items in your inventory that you are willing to part with can be offloaded at shops for money. This is also often a good way to manage your limited inventory, especially if you want to explore new areas with treasure chests and other loot likely to be found.
Below is a list of items that can be sold off at high prices at shops.
Item | Selling Price |
---|---|
Onyx | 2,400 G (Vermund) |
Jasper | 2,400G (Bakbattahl) |
Tiger Eye | 2,700 G (Sacred Arbor) |
Distorted Eyeballs | 900 G |
Strange Mane | 900 G |
Griffin Feather | 1,200 G |
Panacea | 1,050 G |
Rotting Figs | 560 G (Vermund) |
Sell spoiled meat and fruits.
Meat and fruits become more expensive when they are spoiled, allowing you to get more money than by selling them when they are fresh. Note that the price of such goods vary between regions so try to offload your goods where you will get the most profit.
Farm enemies.
Enemies will drop varying amounts of gold when defeated, with tougher foes yielding higher sums of money than weaker ones when killed. When farming gold from enemies, you want to be able to take out groups of enemies quickly using abilities that have a wide range such as high-level magic spells cast by Mages and Sorcerers.
Recommended Augment Skills for Gold Farming
Below are recommended Augment skills for farming gold in the game, including each passive ability’s effects and how to unlock them.
Augment Skill | Effects | How to Unlock |
---|---|---|
Prolificity | Increases the likelihood that smaller targets will drop items. | Unlock at Magic Archer Rank 6 for 1,800 Dcp. |
Opulence | Increases gold obtained when acquiring gold pouches. | Unlock at Mystic Spearhand Rank 4 for 900 Dcp. |
Zeal | Reduces the amount of stamina consumed by skills. | Unlock at Warfarer Rank 6 for 1,800 Dcp. |
As listed above, Prolificity and Opulence are among the best Augment skills to set for gold farming. The first lets you obtain items from small enemies at an increased rate which can then be sold at shops for cash. Opulence, meanwhile, allows you to earn more gold when looting them from gold pouches found in dungeons and open areas or as enemy drops.
Finally, Zeal grants you incredible cost-efficiency with using certain area-of-effect (AoE) skills to constantly spam on the battlefield. Being able to clear groups of foes faster lets you rack up money more efficiently than just taking them out one by one.
