Gone Hunting
Unlock Condition: Complete “The Errand Prince” during Chapter 1
Reward: 500 EXP, Hi-Potion x10
After you’ve delivered the quest item to the motel owner at the Longwythe Rest Area, speak to the man in front of Noctis after the cutscene ends.
You need to deliver the envelope that he gives you to Dave, who is across the highway, outside the small building near the diner.
After accepting the quest, speak to the tipster then head towards the quest marker. Once at the location, examine the campfire and a couple of Sabertusks will appear. Defeat the monsters and then pick up the dog tag nearby. Take the dog tag back to Dave to finish the mission.
Dust to Dust
Unlock Condition: Complete “Gone Hunting” and reach Chapter 2
Reward: 600 EXP, Mega-Potion x5
Speak to Dave who is at the Prairie Outpost, near the place where you met Monica.
You will be able to find the dog tag in an abandoned card to the south of the outpost.
Final Resting Plains
Unlock Condition: Complete “Dust to Dust” and reach Chapter 3
Reward: 800 EXP, Elixir x10
Speak to Dave at the Coernix Station, outside the small building to the northeast. Ask about the mission to the tipster at the restaurant.
The Rusted Dog Tag can be found in a field of grass to the northwest of the Disc of Cauthess. Return it to Dave to complete the mission.
A Rocky End
Unlock Condition: Complete “Final Resting Plains”
Reward: 1,000 EXP, Hi-Elixir x10
Talk to Dave at the Cauthess Rest Area, outside the building near the diner. Once you’ve accepted the mission, inquire about it to the tipster inside the diner.
The dog tag is located behind a large rock inside the specified location to the south.
Swallowed by Shadows
Unlock Condition: Complete “A Rocky End”
Reward: 1,200 EXP, Hi-Elixir x10
Speak to Dave at the Taelpar Rest Area. Once he’s given you this assignment, talk about it to the diner’s tipster to know where you need to go.
Head to the search area to the southeast of the Cauthess Rest Area.
The Twisted Dog Tag can be found on the floor inside the storehouse. Hundlebags will spawn in the area, so you have to defeat them before you can pick up the dog tag. Return the tag to Dave to finish the mission.
A Backwoods Burial
Unlock Condition: Complete “Swallowed by Shadows”
Reward: 1,500 EXP, Phoenix Down x10
Talk to Dave in Old Lestallum, under the canopy in the easternmost yellow house. Speak to the tipster at the diner to unlock the waypoint.
Head to the north where the river splits into two streams. The Scratched Dog Tag is near a wooden barn. Take it back to Dave to complete the mission.
Washed Away
Unlock Condition: Complete “A Backwood Burial”
Reward: 1,800 EXP, Phoenix Down x10
After giving the Scratched Dog Tag to Dave, he will now need you to get the dog tag found near Mynbrum Haven, the northern part of Cleigne.
Head north from the haven and you can find the dog tag lying on the large rocks by the river. Sahagins will spawn in the area, so you need to defeat them to retrieve the dog tag. Return the dog tag to Dave.
Mountains of Misfortune
Unlock Conditions: Complete “Washed Away” and proceed to Chapter 7
Reward: 2,000 EXP, Megaelixir x5
Speak to Dave at the Meldacio Hunter HQ, on the terrace of the house with potted plants. Inquire about the mission to the tipster at the Meldacio restaurant.
Head northwest towards the quest marker. The marker is located near the Steyliff Grove. Retrieve the Polished Dog Tag near the ruins then give it back to Dave.
The Witch of the Woods
Unlock Conditions: Complete “Mountains of Misfortune”
Reward: 2,500 EXP, Mega Phoenix x5
Head to Verinas Mart in Ravatogh and gather information inside the local restaurant. Proceed to Malmalam Thicket and talk to Dave near the dirt path leading to the forest.
Take the narrow path that branches off to the left of the main trail and this will lead you to a wooden hut where Kimya is waiting. She will send you to a new waypoint at the end of Malmalam Thicket.
The Sullied Dog Tag is located just a few steps to the left of the Royal Tomb, near a tree and a large rock. Return to Kimya and then give the dog tag back to Dave at the Meldacio Hunter HQ.
